Compiled by Rob Lawson. Softcover 244 pages. Published by The Christadelphian April 2018.

This book is a compilation in the style of recently published books The Hope of Israel and Our Sure Foundation. The theme is God Manifestation.

The title is taken from 1 Peter chapter two where Peter describes the purpose of the calling of brothers and sisters in Christ "that ye should shew forth the praises (''virtues'' KJV margin) of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light".

The first section of the book is a series nine of short essays on the subject rooted in the writings of John Thomas, with particular reference to things like the Yahweh name, the symbology of the cherubim and the ‘Man of One’ in Daniel 10. The authors are Richard Morgan (1), Justin Robinson (1), Graham Pearce (1), Jason Hensley (1), Allan Harvey (1), John Thomas(4).

The second section contains articles by John Morris looking at 14 different aspects of the character of God, originally published in The Christadelphian in 1994 and 1995 under the title The God of Truth.

The third section contains selected adaptations from W.H. Boulton’s book Names and Titles of Deity published in 1922. Essentially the extracts are his exposition of the names and titles to which the compiler has added a table with the Hebrew name/title, Strong’s number, suggested meaning etc.
